Speckled Blue Nose

The materials I use.

Hello, and welcome to the material section of the site! Here I will explain the materials I use to make my suits.
Note: I will NOT explain how I make them.

For the head bases, I use a half an inch upholstery foam base for the hood, muzzle, ears, and bottom jaw. I then carve and shape 2-4 inch thick upholstery foam blocks for muzzle, eyebrow, cheek, and smile detail. I do not use Balaclava, but it has been an upcoming thought. :] My suit heads are based on the exact measurements of your head.

For the fur of my items, I use 100% Faux Fur, [fake fur], how I get these patterns together, I use template cut outs I made the shape of a hand [four fingers], tail, or the shape of what ever your suits markings are.

I do not hot glue my suits, they are both machine and hand sewed together. The whole suit is 100% hand made. The only thing I use Hot Glue on is the head of your suit, and the feet. I do not use it to piece together the body, tail, or hands.

For the eyes, I use a very thin, but strong shaped cut out of a cutting board for the Sclera [white part] and I use very good see through fabric for the iris and pupil, colored with non toxic fabric markers. For the claws and teeth, and at times tongue, I use Scuply oven bake clay. My noses always vary on materials used, they switch from soft felt fabric, to scuply, for coloring spots or markings on some of the noses, I switch between Sharpie Marker and Acrylic paint. I also use Acrylic paint at times to make the small markings or designs your character or desired animal will have.
